«The Californian desert always reminds me of northern barren mountains. The weather, flora and fauna could not be more different but the feeling is the same. Both environments have magical light and the large treeless expanses with grounding distant mountains leave room for you to take that extra deep breath of air, and creates a wonderful feeling of stillness and room for contemplation. This series is calm in both expression and tone and therefore fits in a variety of different rooms and contexts. Part of a series with four images. While they were created to be displayed together, they are equally attractive on their own.»
